Choose the correct of the following incorrect sentence : He has a little number of pens.

The correct answer is B because the sentence should be 'He has a small number of pens'. We use 'little' with uncountable nouns and 'small' with countable nouns. 'Number of pens' is countable, so 'small' is the correct adjective to use.
