Notre Dame College Mymensingh is one of the best colleges in Mymensingh city. Since its establishment in 2014, it has taken significant steps to improve the quality of education. History of Notre Dame College Mymensingh

In 2008, during the celebration of the centennial anniversary of Catholic faith in Mymensingh Diocese, Bishop Paul Ponen Kubi, C.S.C., a revered figure in Mymensingh Diocese, made a request to the Holy Cross Fathers and Brothers to establish a new Notre Dame College in Mymensingh Diocese. He expressed his hope that, alongside the historic Notre Dame College in Dhaka, another Notre Dame College would be founded, making higher education more accessible for the people of Mymensingh and the northern region. Bishop Paul Ponen Kubis vision aimed to provide quality education and opportunities for students in the Mymensingh and northern regions of Bangladesh. This new college would continue the legacy of Notre Dame education and contribute to the intellectual and social development of the area

One of the purposes of establishing this institute is to provide excellent education to supplement the education sector of the nation by generating healthier educated students. Our College campus is established in such a way that students will feel comfortable, enjoyable, and inspire to study here. We have specious multimedia classrooms, excellent Lab rooms, a huge library, playgrounds, and 24 hours power services. During this pandemic period, our college continued classes using appropriate technologies like; YouTube and Zoom classes to keep students busy with their schooling. Through Zoom classes we took exams and lab classes so that we can deliver their required education and enable students to do good results in the board exams. 

A well-educated person is inevitable for building society and nation. However, education does not mean gaining only certificates but developing wisdom, experiences, good human behavior, habits, traits, and attitude which helps a person to lead a fruitful life. Famous Quotes of Aristotle is “Knowing yourself is the beginning of all Wisdom “. We also try to do that through our education programs for our students, so that they can know themselves first and then acquire wisdom accordingly. 

Quality of Education:

Notre Dame College Mymensingh has separate laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, and Higher Mathematics. Additionally, there is a modern computer lab to enhance students' computer skills. Two quiz exams are held every week. The college has four student directors to guide the students, and for every 30 students, there is one guide teacher who helps them with any academic issues.

The college has many renowned teachers, including Tania Afrin Ma’am, Kazi Jasim Sir, Father Thaddeus Hembrom CSC, Aparna Sarker Ma’am, Nandan Sarker Sir, Utpal Dutta Sir, and Johra Zebin Disha Ma’am. Every teacher is highly respected and well-known for their teaching excellence.

Campus Facilities:

The campus of Notre Dame College Mymensingh is breathtakingly beautiful. It is fully green with well-maintained gardens. The campus features a basketball court, football and cricket fields, and a badminton court. Additionally, annual sports competitions are organized.

The college has a well-stocked library with hundreds of books. For financially underprivileged students, there is a Holy Cross building where they can stay for free by working at the college.

Admission Process:

Currently, admissions are conducted through an online application process. However, soon, students will be admitted through an entrance examination.
