(a) Jerry was an orphan boy. He had been living at the orphanage since he was four. He used to chop wood for the authoress. He had many extraordinary qualities which enabled him to win the heart of the authoress.
(b) Jerry did unnecessary jobs for the writer because he was a great hearted boy. He was honest and gracious. No training can make a man do such unnecessary things as he did for the writer. These jobs are done on the instant without any predicated experience.
(c) Integrity means the quality of being honest and having strong moral character. Jerry's integrity as defined by the writer is bedded on courage, but it is more than bravery; it is honest, but it is more than honesty.
(d) Jerry was an orphan boy living in an orphanage. He was deprived of motherly care and fatherly affection. He did not think that someone could give him any gift. So, when the writer offered him candy or an apple in exchange for his voluntary services, he was speechless and looked at the writer and the gift.
(e) Jerry was an orphan who lived in an orphanage. As a wood chopper, he came in contact with the writer. But Jerry had many extraordinary qualities which enabled him to win the heart of the writer, He being a motherless boy loved the writer like his mother while the mother in the writer got roused by, his helplessness and extraordinary qualities. Thus, they developed a mother-son-like relationship between them.
