If two resistance are connected in parallel

Given resistance

$R_1=1\Omega\\R_2=10^6\Omega$

Effective resistance when these are connected in parallel

$\dfrac 1R_{eff}=\dfrac 1R_1+\dfrac 1R_2$

On putting values,

$\dfrac{1}{R_{eff}}=\dfrac{1}{1}+\dfrac{1}{10^{6}}=1+10^{-6}\approx 1$

$\therefore R_eff{}=\dfrac 11=1\Omega$

Equivalent resistance $=1\Omega$
