Social media are actually online service. All kinds of soclal media services are web-based. These services have made it possible to connect people sharing interests and activities across the borders and thus have made a lot for the users to feel that they really live in a global village. Most of the social services being cost-free, we can chat with anyone living in any corner of the world side by side with sharing photos and videos. In a word, we can make our personal profile before the entire online community. It is like presenting ourselves before the entire world. But nothing is unmixed blessing in the world. And numerous social media are not free from demerits, either. The young generation specially. school-going, college-going and untversity-going students get addicted to such kinds 'of social networks or media. As a result, their study is greatly hampered. Even some go to the dogs because they like to share obscene videos with their friends. Killing, smuggling, eve-teasing, etc. are likely to happen with the help of social network media. Any anti-social movement can take place through these media. However, the users may greatly be benefited if they use social media properly.
