Bangladesh Textile University (abbreviated as BUTEX) is the first and only government textile university in the country for textile engineering education in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Textile University (BUTEX) campus is located in the Tejgaon Industrial Area under Dhaka North City Corporation. Production-oriented research and industrialization-oriented teaching have always set the institute apart from others. Bangladesh Textile University seats are around 600 at present.

4 (Four) year B. Sc. In the textile engineering 2023-2024 academic year, applications are being invited from the candidates seeking admission to level 1 through the prescribed method. Only science stream students can apply to this university.

BUTEX offers “BSc” on 10 subjects under five faculties. in the Textile Engineering” course, which is divided into 8 semesters in total 2 semesters of 6 months are held every year.

Bangladesh Textile University is the minimum qualification for this application

Applicant must have passed Secondary School Certificate/Equivalent Examination with minimum GPA 5.00 on grading system from any Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education/Madrasa Education Board/Board of Technical Education in grading system of 5.00 or at least equivalent in equivalent examination from foreign Board of Education. Must get the grade and pass.

Students in the science department from Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board/Madrasa Education Board/Technical Education Board held in 2023. SSC or its equivalent examination with a minimum GPA of 5.00 on a 5.00 scale in the grading system with a total of at least 18.50 grade points in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English.

Distribution of admission test

Admission test of total 200 marks will be conducted in full written form. The value of each question will be 2 and there will be 100 questions. There will be no options in the question, and the explanation of the question and the score will have to be done in the book.

It should be noted that the Higher Secondary Examination of 2023 will be as per the short syllabus.

How to apply to BUTEX?

For admission test application through a Teletalk prepaid mobile phone go to message option BUT first three letters of HSC education board name HSC exam roll number HSC pass year first three letters of SSC education board name SSC exam roll number write SSC side year and send SMS to 16222.

Example: BUT DHA 123456 2018 DHA 012345 2023 to be paid.

Example is for covered board. Here 123456 instead of HSC, 654321 instead of SSC exam will be rail number.

After sending the above SMS, if all the information is correct, the return SMS will ask for the consent by giving the applicant's name, admission test fee and a PIN number. Then the applicant has to send another SMS to 16222 to give consent. First to consent BUT YESPIN numberapplicant's mobile number and send SMS to 16222. Here, in place of mobile number, enter a mobile number of any operator that the applicant can personally use to contact the applicant.

Practice tips:

The application must be completed within the specified time. Those who do not have the minimum eligibility to apply cannot apply at all. After application will provide admit card for admission test.
